Major Grom (Russian: Майор Гром) is a comic book published by Bubble Comics. The series ran from 2012 to 2016.^[1] The screen of most of the issues was written by Artem Gabrelyanov and Evgeniy Fedotov. Such artists as Konstantin Tarasov, Anastasia Kim (Phobs), Yulia Zhuravleva, Anna Rud and others worked on the comic strip. In January 2017, as part of the Second Wind initiative, the series was closed and replaced with another one, under the title "Igor Grom". It's the continuation of "Major Grom". In April of the same year, a parody comic "Igor Ugor" was released, where the main character, major Grom, appears in the form of a talking eel. Eel in Russian sounds like Ugor, which is consonant with the name Igor.

In 2021 "Igor Grom" was ended and followed by the next series - "Major Igor Grom".

The main action of the comic takes place in an alternative St. Petersburg. The main character of the series is a police major named Igor Grom, known for his uncompromising attitude to crime, honesty, integrity, as well as detective abilities and hand-to-hand combat skills. Throughout the series, Grom fights different types of crime. The plot of the comic book is intertwined with other series of the Bubble Comics: Red Fury, Demonslayer and Friar. The main characters of the listed series intersect in the crossover arc "Time of the Raven".

On February 19, 2017, the premiere of the short film adaptation has happened. In 2021, a full-feature film adaptation of the comic book Plague Doctor was released under the title "Major Grom: Plague Doctor"^[2].
