Atrangi Re (transl. Funnily Weird^[1]) is a 2021 Indian romance drama film directed by Aanand L. Rai, written by Himanshu Sharma and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar. Production companies are T-Series, Colour Yellow Productions and Cape of Good Films. The film tells the story of Rinku (Sara Ali Khan), a serial eloper, who is in love with a "man" named Sajjad (Akshay Kumar), though her forced wedding with another man named Vishu (Dhanush) and quest to unite with Sajjad results in regaining consciousness of reality. The score and songs were composed by A. R. Rahman and Irshad Kamil respectively.

Rai conceived the idea of the film after releasing Raanjhanaa in 2014. He developed the screenplay with Sharma, exploring the subject of complexities of human emotions, especially love. He was certain to cast Dhanush given the relativity of subject, script and time but the rest of the casting was eventual. The film was shot across Varanasi, parts of Bihar, Delhi, Agra and Mumbai between March 2020 to 2021, losing out six months of filming in between owed to the COVID-19 pandemic in India. The film was released by Disney+ Hotstar on December 24, 2021 to mixed reviews by critics who praised the unconventional plot, performances of the lead actors, however, called the screenplay incoherent and messed up with poor execution of overall storyline.
